Hair tips for summer

The weather is warm, sunny and beautiful! Who wouldn't want to be at the beach. Here are a few things to help keep you locks looking soft and shiny!

* Wet hair with pure water before going in the ocean or pool. This fills in the cuticle with fresh water first.

* Wear a swimmers cap.

* Wear your hair up at the pool and beach. Keeping it out of the pool or salt water will save you a lot of time and stress of drying out the ends of fading your expensive color.

Cool color for fall!

Just finished my clients Ombre. It's crazy, but this star gazed style is still going strong! I can't tell you how many people come in and ask for it. I think Ombre has been so popular over the last couple years for a few reasons.
First, the Ombre color can be done in so many variations. Soft and subtle, or dark meets dramatic blonde ends! Secondly, I think more clients are choosing to do the Ombre because it is less maintenance on the hair. I can say personally that I haven't done anything with my Ombre since February of this year. We are talking nine months of no coloring!! This is why more young women are leaning towards the trend.  With the economy the way it is, young 20-30 year old women aren't getting their hair done as often because they simply can't afford to. The Ombre offers them the perfect alternative to have beautiful highlighted hair!
